Japanese Society for Morita Therapy
Morita therapy is a Japanese indigenous therapy developed by the late Dr. Shoma Morita, and has been practiced in Japan for almost 100 years. Its approach is often described as nature-based, action-based, facts-centred.
Morita Therapy is practiced in many places around the world as described on the International Committee for Morita Therapy website.
The Japanese Society for Morita Therapy is the governing body, which promotes the application, study, dissemination and advancements of Morita Therapy.
Our centre director, Masahiro Minami has been trained in Morita therapy for the past 10 years and is one of the two English-Japanese speaking Morita psychotherapist registered with the Japanese Society for Morita Therapy in Japan. Therapeutic principles of Morita therapy provided a conceptual as well as empirical foundation for the development of the ABPRA.
